Construction aggregate, or simply "aggregate", is a broad category of coarse particulate material used in construction, including sand, gravel, crushed stone, slag, recycled concrete and geosynthetic aggregates.

The Composition of Basalt Aggregate Crushing Plant

SBM provides you technical support of whole set of aggregate crushing plant. This basalt crushing line includes jaw crusher, impact crusher, vibrating screen, vibrating feeder, vertical shaft impact crusher, and so on. Together with belt conveyors, it makes up a complete unit of basalt aggregate crushing line. The designed capacity is from 50t/h to 550t/h. To meet customer’s specific need, we can also add other equipments such as cone crusher, VSI crusher, dust catcher on the crushing line.

This crusher has two types: rock-on-rock and rock-on-iron. Sand yield of “rock-on-iron” type is higher by 10-20% than that of “rock-on-rock” type. It is widely used in basalt aggregate crushing line now.

Application of Aggregate Crushing plant

Aggregate crushing line is used to produce aggregate or sand by crushing hard limestone, river pebbles, granite, basalt, and so on. It is applied in these fields of expressway, hydropower, building material, and urban construction.

Aggregate Crushing Flow Chart

Vibrating feeder feeds the big material into jaw crusher for primary crushing. After first crush, the material will be reshaped and processed by cone crusher or impact crusher. VSI5X crusher (Vertical shaft impact crusher) plays the role of tertiary crushing, and then vibrating screen separates product. After separating, the parts that can meet standard will be transferred away as final products, while the other parts will be returned to VSI5X crusher, thus forming a closed circuit until product size is up to the crusher model and screen model.
